This project encompasses a design system direction, a moodboard, a 12-page magazine spread, and an Instagram advertisement. The focal point of this creative endeavor is an article featuring an interview titled "Love, Death and Robots’ most beautiful episode was 'a love letter to Moebius'". This piece explores the director's insights on the episode 'The Very Pulse of the Machine' from the Netflix series 'Love, Death, and Robots'.

Feature Content
I chose this article because I am interested in science fiction, and this episode is a beautiful science fictional episode in an illustration style influenced by the French artist Moebius (Jean Giraud).

Design System Direction
The design system direction identified suitable typefaces, graphical elements, and a color scheme aligned with the project’s theme. I derived the color palette from the graphic elements, fine-tuning images using Illustrator and Photoshop. The final scheme features blue and yellow. The director emphasized these colors in an interview, noting their importance to the visual narrative: ‘Solid sulfur is yellow, and when molten, it glows iridescent blue. We used this as the template for our entire color script.’
Moodboard
The moodboard visually collates the major graphical elements, serving as a foundational reference for the project's aesthetic. I selected graphics that primarily consist of scenes (screenshots) from the episode, along with illustrations by Moebius. Additionally, I incorporated gradient elements to showcase the primary colors from the images. This design choice creates a visual effect where cool colors (blue and purple) seamlessly transition into warm hues (yellow and orange) from right to left.

Magazine Feature
For the magazine design, I meticulously selected blue and yellow as the dominant color palette, creatively illustrating the transition from shades of dark and light blue to yellow and orange and then back to blues. This was achieved through the strategic use of borders and curved lines within the page layout. Leveraging the capabilities of Illustrator and Photoshop, I styled and harmonized the color tones of the imagery.

The primary sources of these images were video footage and the works of Moebius, specifically from his '40 Days in the Desert' and 'Starwatcher' series.
